3 Tips for Time Management During Covid 19
Time seems to be out of control during this pandemic as every day seems the same as the next, and some days go by slower than others. How can you manage your time and feel in control? First, remember this time period is not going to last forever and take a deep breath. Managing your time will reduce your stress and make you feel more in control in this time of the unknown.
Tip one is to make time for yourself by waking up early and going to bed a little later. Make sure in this time you are exercising, meditating, reading or journaling. When you are at your best energy level, you should take time to exercise. Even taking a long walk will make your time management easier. During your time of less energy, is a great time for reading and journaling. For either of these times should be taking time doing something that makes you feel good, and eliminates the electronics. You will find that once you do this, you will be able to manage time better because your mind will be clearer.
The second tip is to schedule your day as best you can. If you are working from home and so is everyone else in the house, scheduling time is a must. Make sure you get everyone settled and organized at the beginning of the day so they can proceed with little interruptions. The more you schedule their time, the better your time will be managed.
The third tip is to schedule and manage your meals for the family. On your off time, decide on meals for the next 5-7 days. After you have completed that, make your grocery list. Take a look in the pantry, freezer and storage areas to create a menu using what you have and looking at expiration dates to purge at the same time. You will be amazed at how much time you save, less stress you have and how easy this makes your life.
