Be More Productive With More Time
Need more time in your life? We all do and of course, no one gets more then 24 hours in a day. There is a way to evaluate the time you spend and make decisions on what can be given up, reduced, or changed to make more time during the day to become more productive.
Take time each day for at least a week to write down everything you do and how much time it takes out of your day. Include from the minute you get up until the minute you go to bed. Your morning routine should include how long you shower, shave, apply make-up, get dressed which will include how long you spend deciding what to wear. Other tasks to include in the morning will be exercising, making, and eating breakfast, reading the paper, and watching the news.
During the day including driving time, eating lunch, work, laundry, cleaning, shopping, looking at social media, and all other tasks you complete. You might be surprised on what you do each day. At work, you should include how long you spend on email, projects, meetings, and the phone.
Evening should include driving yourself or family members to activities, making and eating dinner, cleaning up after dinner, watching television, looking at social media, reading, getting ready for bed, and your evening routine.
Now that you have written down your schedule for 7-10 days, take a hard look at what might have surprised you. Maybe you had no idea you were spending 2 hours a day looking at Facebook or watching the news. What can you change during the day to give yourself more time? Can you decrease your social media or television time?
This is the easiest way to make your 24 hours a day more productive 24 hours.
